Here is the result of a very interesting and challenging project brought by Marc. After a fight against cancer and a some lost feathers, Marc asked me if I had an idea to bring him back to surfing, something more than boogie boarding. We had to think of something with some limitations in paddling and balance so the kneeboard came as an interesting way to explore.
This first kneeboard made is a 5’6” by 23”½ wide, a pretty flat tail rocker, a not to scooped out deck as I wanted to keep some volume at the back for Marc to be able to use his flippers power,
thin rails at the tail and leash plug set in a shine not to be in the way. Single to V double concave bottom with quad fins setup plus a 10” fin box, white ash wood on both side with black and
white pinlines and “Year of the Monkey” symbol… not that Marc is… you know why!
Many thanks to Marc for giving me this challenge. August waves will show if we got it wright.
